Dr Alastair Clark (Sandton)
M.B., B.Ch.., GPSI Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine

Dr Alastair Clark trains other doctors in this country in the art and science of aesthetic injection techniques and designs and delivers courses in this discipline. Dr Clark was installed in October 2007 as one of twenty international Global Trainers to give instruction to doctors internationally. He is the only South African to have achieved this. Dr Clark is also an instructor of advanced injection techniques, giving official accredited courses throughout the year in South Africa.

He  designs and delivers courses in the disciplines of filler volumisation, neuromuscular manipulation with botulinum neurotoxin, IPL and laser, chemical peels, as well as physical treatments of the skin.
Dr Clark has presented and given live demonstrations at numerous international congresses in Europe, Asia and South Africa. He is currently the Head National Key Opinion Leader for Silhouette Soft threadlifts of Sinclair Laboratories. He also served as International Key Opinion Leader and Trainer for Restylane.

His interpretation of the aesthetic need and facial assessment, combined with advanced injection and moulding techniques yield previously unattained results for non-surgical techniques.
Dr Clark has developed an approach to static (hypertonic) and dynamic (hyperkinetic) wrinkles, which greatly simplifies the use of fillers to achieve the patient's desired goal. He uses his technique to treat anything from inexpensive lines and wrinkles to Lip enhancement, Nasoplasty, Cheek bone augmentation, Eyebrow ridge augmentation, Ear lobe rejuvenation, or complete facial treatments.
Dr Clark has been practising as a general practitioner for 30 years and previously in surgery and surgical specialities for three years. He was a Consultant to the South African Brain Research Institute during this time. He appeared numerous times on television and on radio phone in programmes and has published a number of journal articles on alcoholism and detoxification. He is an honorary lecturer at Wits Medical School. He was also the founding partner of Execucare, a company in association with Sandton Aesthetic Institute, that specialises in performing complete in depth medical assessments. He has completed the Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology's Advanced Course in Diabetes Care, with distinction, and the Foundation for Professional Development's course in Practice Management.

Dr Genevieve Marks GPSI Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine.
Dip Prac Derm (Cardiff)
MBBCh (Pret)

Dr Genevieve Marks has a special interest and dedication to all things aesthetic and dermatological.

Beginning her career in general medicine, she rapidly developed a keen interest in what was then an almost unknown field of medicine, the medical treatment of ageing and enhancement of the human form. She was part of the very first group of doctors to attend local Congress in Aesthetic Medicine in 2006. Today she is a regular speaker at such forums. Around this time she also wrote, developed and launched her own metabolic balancing program, which is a hugely successful adjunct to the body sculpting and contouring treatments she offers.

Since then she has become well known for her involvement as a trainer, lecturer and consultant for several key dermatological and aesthetic companies including Allergan, Sinclair and Galderma. She is a recognised expert in the use of neurotoxin, injectable tissue fillers and non-surgical face-lifting techniques with threads. Her scope of practice extends to lasers, photodynamic therapy and novel treatments such as PRP, colloquially known as ‘Vampire Lifting’.

Expanding her skill set to encompass a widening array of treatment options, led her to seek out further education in Wales in the field of dermatology. She is one of a handful of doctors in Africa who hold this qualification, which allows her to treat a variety of common dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis. Dermoscopy for mole evaluation is one of her key interests.

Dr Marks is an executive committee member of the Anti-aging and Aesthetic Medicine Society of Southern Africa (AAMSSA). She is currently Chairperson for Gauteng North and shares a portfolio in the evaluation of Training for the wider aesthetic industry with Dr Clark.

Her practice in Waterkloof Ridge Pretoria is mostly where she spends her time, bringing her appreciation for the Aesthetic to life in her patients.
